Originally, regardless of the material (leather, skaï, imitation leather, vinyl, or polyurethane), a protective finishing varnish was applied.
Wear and maintenance products eventually remove the original varnish, leaving your material exposed and in direct contact with friction.
For this reason, and before it's too late, extend the life of your material by applying at least one to two coats of varnish each year!
The types of surfaces that can be covered with imitation leather include: Sofas, Armchairs, Dining Chairs, Car Seats, Stools, Headboards, Benches, Poufs, Wall Coverings, Sports Equipment (like weight benches), Motorcycle Seats, Car Doors (interior coverings), Armrests, Office Chairs, Bar Benches, Headrests, Suitcases, Fashion Accessories (like bags); Boat Furniture Coverings, Protective Covers...
CHOICE OF VARNISH:
The can varnish is water-based and is easily applied with a sponge. You can significantly improve its adhesion, friction resistance, and water resistance with an appropriate polymerizer.
The aerosol varnish is intended for those who prefer this application method.
Tip: When in doubt, choose the satin finish, it is undoubtedly the most used!
200ml can = 400ml aerosol = 3m² in one coat
MAINTENANCE OF SKAI: Apply at least once to twice a year on the most used areas (seats, armrests)
USAGE PRECAUTIONS:
- Apply to a perfectly dry, clean, and degreased surface.
- Apply in 2 or 3 thin coats, allowing the previous coat to dry beforehand.
- Always ensure the product's compatibility by testing on a small, discreet area before general application. The varnish should be perfectly dry after 24 hours and should adhere perfectly to the surface.
