Hello,
I would like to paint all the leatherette benches in the saloon of my catamaran white. The surface area is about 8m.
What products and quantities do you recommend? I saw that you were offering a protective varnish. How long does this product last? Should it be applied regularly?

Hello,
To repaint your 8m you will need 1.5L of leatherette paint / white leatherette paint.
This leatherette paint requires a light sanding and degreasing with acetone beforehand.
Apply at least 2 coats (because white is less covering than darker colours). Our paint does not require any pre-fabricated hanging or colour fixing. It is simply applied with a high-density foam roller and ideally with a spray gun (1mm nozzle).

Concerning the protection of leatherette, in the marine environment it is essential to protect it well. We already offer a water-based leatherette varnish. It is suitable for car leatherette or furniture, but has its limits in the marine environment in the face of permanent damage.
At the end of October 2018, we will be able to offer a new solvent-based leatherette varnish that is much more resistant. This product will be available in aerosol (satin / matt / glossy).
1 aerosol will protect 1m of leatherette in 3 layers for at least one season.
