Hello,
Your site is full of practical information. Thank you. Thank you.
I have two club chairs in Basane (we had a craftsman do it in 98 or 99 in Brest) - we moved to Texas and in 15 years the chairs have faded (no direct sunlight) and mostly dry out. it is very very very humid and hot so the air conditioning is running 8/9 months out of 12 which certainly causes the problem.
until now I have used moisturizers for stool etc. but not enough. the breakers seem to show dryness after 2 months.
I have a bottle of foot of ox oil but fear of "too much" grease preventing me from sitting down because stains on clothes - or does it penetrate and stick.
I think I need your tinted wax in a bottle - the armchairs were "hot honey" and I read on a previous post that you suggest Cognac which will "warm" the armchairs.
If I apply the foot of beef oil - how long do I have to wait before applying the tinted wax? Does it waterproof the leather too or do I also have to buy the waterproofing wax?
Do you have any idea of the cost of sending the tinted wax to Texas and if necessary the waterproofing wax if this can be done - otherwise I will find a delivery solution in France but not sure if I will find someone in the coming months to bring it to me.
Thank you. Thank you.
