Repair of large chesterfield leather hole

Hello,

Your chesterfields are perfectly repairable, however there is work to be done because for an optimal result they must be completely renovated.

You will need a leather sofa renovation kit, leather parts and an accessory kit.

1- Clean the wounds: cut the edges of the tears widely and cleanly in order to obtain a single large hole with a more regular shape.

2- Lightly sand your leather by massaging it gently. This is to break the original varnish and create a good grip.

3- degrease with acetone.

4- Laminate: slide a large piece of leather into the hole and stick it on the back of the leather with the repair paste, back to back. The hole now has a bottom.

5-Adhere a piece of leather adjusted to the size of the cavity and stick it edge-to-edge to the original leather using the repair paste.

6- Sand lightly after drying.

7- re-colour with our English green RAL 6009.

8- wax with our patina wax.

9- apply the edible oil 3 weeks after the renovation.

10- Your chesterfields have regained their splendor!
